“Canvas” is an event designed to allow people to help someone in a significant way while creating something significant for themselves.
It’s a night where friends, food & art collide with a cause to create something truly beautiful. Here’s how it works in a nutshell: you pay $35…you get a canvas…you paint on that canvas…you enjoy desserts…you paint some more…you take your canvas/work of art home. You don’t have to be an experienced artist to enjoy this; it’s just for fun. We provide the paint & brushes, and we also have experienced artists on hand to provide demonstrations and give you tips throughout the night. The best part is that 100% of your $35 goes to benefit someone with a need.
This Canvas is for Rachel Nash and her two beautiful daughters, Olivia and Finley. Just over a year ago, Rachel’s husband, Andy, passed away unexpectedly and at a very young age. Andy was an amazing husband and father. He served in the Jr. High ministry at His Hands for several years. He was a man committed to God and to his family like few men are. His death came as a complete surprise and, obviously, it’s been a trying year for Rachel and her daughters.
Rachel has done an amazing job handling this tragedy. She is an incredible mother and example to her daughters. They’ve had to endure so many challenges this past year (holidays and birthdays without Andy, moving into a new home, etc.). Through it all, Rachel has been an incredible example of faith and hope for her girls. Now it’s time for us to step up and show them that a church is a family, and families take care of each other.
